Founded by Jennifer Lafferty and Tamara Wyman in memory and honor of their husband and dear friend Jim Lafferty, who lost his battle with prostate cancer in 2010 at the young age of 40.  The "Prostate Cancer: It's Kind of a Big Deal" tagline was inspired by Jim, who always maintained a positive attitude and used his great sense of humor to allow people to be comfortable asking questions and learning more about the disease. The genesis of this foundation was a promise made to Jim in his final days that they would "continue the fight" to educate those affected by the disease, to raise social awareness, and to fund research for emerging treatment options. Jennifer and Tamara are joined by an esteemed Board of Directors, all of whom bring valuable expertise and personal motivation to help them carry Jim's vision forward.
